As a quick primer, straight knockout is simple: a single loss eliminates a team from the competition. Ties are played over two legs, home and away, with the aggregate score across both matches deciding the winner. If the scores are level after regulation (or after both legs combined), qualification is decided in extra time and, if needed, penalties.
